Celebrating Our Dogs on Love Your Pet Day
We stay busy with jobs, travel, kids, and spouses, so sometimes our pet doesn’t get the quality time they need. Even though we love our pets every day, it is nice to have an official day to pamper your pet even more. There are many ways to celebrate Love Your Pet Day and here are a few of our favorites!
Love Your Pet Day
-
Take your dog on a longer walk.
Exercise is very important for you and your dog, so why not treat him to a different walking path. Your dog will like the different views and smells, as well as socializing with other dogs. Need a new leash for your walks? Check out our personalized leashes here.
-
Treat them to a new toy.
Dogs love their toys, but they really appreciate a new toy to chew or play with too. New toys give you the perfect opportunity to play with your dog.
-
Give them a special treat.
Special treats are a great way to pamper your pooch. Just make sure it is good for your dog. Chocolate is not a special treat, no matter how much they beg for it! Check out our pet-safe treats here.
-
Show them extra attention.
Not that we don’t shower our dogs with attention all the time, this is the easiest (and cheapest) way to show that you love your pet. They show us unconditional love every day, so why not repay the favor?
Whether you pick one of these options (or all four!) your pet will feel extra special. Even though your pet may not understand that it’s National Love Your Pet Day, they will understand that you went out of your way to give them extra loving.
How do you and your pet spend National Love Your Pet Day?
